The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides $25 in free vouchers to eligible Mercer County seniors. These vouchers can be used to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables from approved farmers markets.
This program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Food Distribution and aims to:
Encourage older adults to eat more fresh produce
Support local farmers and growers
To qualify, you must:
Be a Mercer County resident
Be 60 years of age or older by December 31, 2025
Meet income limits:
$28,953 or less annually for a single person
$39,128 or less annually for a couple
(Gross income includes Social Security, interest, wages, etc., before any deductions)
Proof of age and residency (such as a driver’s license or state-issued photo ID)
If a senior is unable to pick up their vouchers, a representative may do so on their behalf with:
A completed and signed proxy form
The senior's proof of age and residency
Proxy forms are available at all Senior Community Centers and at the Agency’s Administrative Office.
Please Note:
Each eligible senior may receive only one $25 voucher packet per year.
