Health and Wellness
The Agency’s Senior Centers offer Health and Wellness programs that provide disease prevention and health promotion activities throughout the County.
The overall goal of this program is to promote optimum health and well-being for older adults.
Service activities include:
- Health Risk Assessments
- Routine Health Screenings
- Nutritional Counseling
- Health Promotion Activities
- Physical Fitness
- Medication management, screening, and education
Health & Wellness is a creative and cost-effective way to reduce the demand for medical treatment. Using Federal funding from the Older Americans Act, Health & Wellness offers evidence-based programming approved by the national aging network to increase efforts at disease prevention by providing support and education to older people before they become ill.
